This simple drink can help to clear your skin from the inside out and also help to reduce any inflammation you might have.
I suffer from Stage 4 Endometriosis and whilst this isn’t medically proven, I find that this drink helps to keep pain and inflammation lowered.
I drink this every morning before I start my day to purge my body from toxins, but also to help inflammation in my body.
All you need is:
- Fresh Turmeric Root (Half teaspoon grated)
- Fresh Ginger Root (Half teaspoon grated)
- Lemon (One slice)
- Ground Pepper (optional – One grind)
Grate the Turmeric root and Ginger into a mug. Pop a slice of fresh lemon in the mug. Pour boiled water and stir with a spoon. The drink will turn an orangey, yellow colour and this is normal because the healing properties of the Turmeric and Ginger are being released.
I like to eat the grated bits, but you can remove using a tea strainer. It has a lovely deep scent and taste, if you find this too strong then you can squeeze lemon into your drink, or add another lemon slice.
To help the uptake of the curcumin from the turmeric you can add a grind of black pepper. Black pepper and Turmeric are said to work together to enhance and boost the turmeric’s healing properties.
